Aylesbury Islamic Centre

Gift Aid allows Aylesbury Islamic Centre to increase the value of your donation at no extra cost to you. If you are a UK taxpayer, the Centre can claim back tax on your eligible donations from HM Revenue and Customs.

How Gift Aid works

For every £1 you donate, the Centre can claim an extra 25p from HMRC. This means your donation goes further and supports more worship, education, and community services.

You donate

You make a donation to the Centre.

Gift Aid applied

You confirm you are a UK taxpayer and complete a Gift Aid declaration.

Extra claimed

The Centre claims an additional 25 percent from HMRC.

Who can Gift Aid their donation

You can add Gift Aid if all of the following apply.

  • You are a UK taxpayer.
  • You pay Income Tax or Capital Gains Tax equal to or more than the amount claimed by charities on your donations in that tax year.
  • The donation is made from your own money and not from a business or company account.

What donations qualify

Most personal donations qualify for Gift Aid, including one off and regular donations. Donations that receive a benefit in return may not qualify under HMRC rules.

Your declaration

By ticking the Gift Aid box when donating, you confirm that.

  • You want Aylesbury Islamic Centre to claim Gift Aid on your donation and any donations you make in the future, unless you tell us otherwise.
  • You understand it is your responsibility to pay enough tax to cover the Gift Aid claimed.
  • You will inform the Centre if you are no longer eligible for Gift Aid.

Changing or cancelling Gift Aid

You can cancel your Gift Aid declaration or update your details at any time. Contact the Centre if your name, address, or tax status changes.

How we use Gift Aid

Gift Aid income supports the Centre’s charitable activities, including worship facilities, education, outreach services, and community support programmes.

Records and compliance

The Centre keeps Gift Aid records as required by HMRC. Information is stored securely and used only for tax reclaim and compliance purposes.
